It is much more effective for people to insist that investment firms or private investors not invest in such companies. This will have a much stronger effect. Do investors care? you bet they do. There is a reason that many corporations take part in various non-profit efforts, it increases appeal to investors. How you would go by contacting investors, I do not know. I promise if I find out, I will immediately make an entry. I think you should include information later on how others around the country can replicate the project so groups can make it either a single time or even an annual event for a great cause.
