recently at our school i joined a club organization called G.S.A. or otherwise known as the Gay/Straight Alliance. the chapter of the organization at our school is becoming very large with 70+ members and is constantly trying to promote tolerance and acceptance. My high school in florida is the largest one in the state and with all its diversity we hoped that acceptance would be welcomed, however, most of the time this isnt the case. Already since the start of the school year we as the organization had to defend 10 students being picked on and bullied by homophobes. We havent been doing this very long and were not sure how to handle the situation, what measures should we take?

I think that if someone is being harassed, then the school should be notified. I feel that all people should feel safe at school. Where I live, over half of the population is LGB. I think that this personal choice should be accepted.
Much luck and PEACE! Elyssah.
