recently my friend came out that he was gay and he was in boy scouts. however when his troop found out they asked to leave because they said he was disrespecting religion. how is that possible? im organizing a protest against the boy scouts for promoting racism and biased views.
now however if a private organization recieves federal funding they must adhere to federal standards and laws. and the boy scouts of america do recieve federal funding so when they kick someone out if they dont have another reason accept sexual orientation then they can be sued.

after the presidents state of the union address your title seems almost misleading as he strives to remove the dont ask dont tell restrictions for military enlistment. Not only that but you fail to back up your statement that it is immoral through any logical argument. Immorality is typically defined by a set of ideals or moral standards and one way of phrasing or expressing these standards is through religious doctrine. How can something be immoral if in the religious doctrine of christianity it is expressly stated that humans are not to partake in same sex relations (Leviticus 18:22)? By stating it is immoral you are effectively saying that through the american form of morality and what is right is not based upon traditional judeo-christian beliefs which simply isnt true. One nation under God not one nation under the righteous will of the people.

Wow...another obvious case of ignorance. That's sad. Exactly how is it the Boy Scouts' place to tell people how to live their lives? I think I must've missed that. So what kind of stuff are you doing to help "right this wrong"?

I completely disagree. Being a Muslim, this is totally not accepted in my religion and I don't know about urs. Secondly, because of a person being a "gaY" other people may be irritated by that and even not perform their duties very well. So I think u cannot blame them. It's their community and their rules dude...! Think about it !!

Their are a few things i find suspect in this post. I'm not accusing you of inautheniticity, but here goes...
1. As to the title- don't ask don't tell is a policy enacted by Bill Clinton and only applies to gays in the U.S. military.
2. The Boy Scouts are not affiliated with any religion, so I don't see why they would ban this kid for religious reasons.
3. The Boy Scouts are known for discriminating adult gays (for instance by banning them from troop leadership) but this would be the first instance of them banning a kid.
Overall, I think you should be sure your friend's story is streight. And, if it is, you should contact the media: because you have quite a story on your hands.

Seems that some commenters don't fail to realize that Christianity doesn't doctrine the lives of every single American. I am an atheist. Does that affect my view of don't ask, don't tell? Maybe. But your Bible also states to love thy neighbor. Why would a loving God send one of His creations to Hell for a lifestyle that He instilled within them?
Anyways. The "rules" of Christianity should not rule America. Do whatever you want in your bedroom, and marry whomever you want.
You right-wing nuts need to leave LGBT people alone.

Not only is that Boy Scout policy immoral, but it is ILLEGAL. The Scouts are provided certain benefits by the government, and as such, the Constitution applies to that organization. So if the Scouts discriminate on the basis of religious beliefs, they've essentially broken the Constitution. I strongly suggest your friend take legal action.
